The book was presented yesterday evening at Palazzo Picinni in Sassano “Pietro Cusati, journalist by passion”.
Many people were present, including some mayors and administrators of Vallo di Diano, as well as people linked to the world of culture and school. Moderated by the President of the “Faq-Totum” cultural association Antonella Inglese, the event kicked off with greetings from the mayor of Sassano Domenico Rubino continued, then, with greetings from the Editorial Director of Ondanews and President of the Vallo di Diano Journalists Association Rocco Colombowith greetings from the President of the Pro Loco of Sassano Stefano Antonello Increase and the Vice President of the Vallo di Diano Mountain Community Gaetano Spano.
The interventions, however, were introduced by the lawyer and writer Emilio Sarli, by the journalist Aldo Bianchini, by the Director of Banca Monte Pruno Michele Albanese and the regional councilor Tommaso Pellegrino.
Finally, the conclusions were entrusted to the author of the book, Pierino Cusati.
“This is a festive evening that takes place in the name of friendship and affection that we all have towards Pierino Cusati – said Michele Albanese in his speech – A man of sound principles, Pierino embodies the values that are very dear to Banca Monte Pruno and I like, on this occasion, to remember a woman who was very important in his life, his wife Maria, who I knew personally and to whom I was close by a deep and sincere affection. Only good things can be said about our friend Pierino and this evening we are all happy for him, for having fulfilled his dream of leaving a tangible and qualified sign of his journalistic activity for posterity”.
Also for councilor Pellegrino “the long journalistic activity carried out by Pierino Cusati remains, with this book, imperishable heritage of our history. In fact, it contains articles that have dealt with various aspects, including those closest to me, regarding healthcare. The entire community not only of Sassano, but of the entire Vallo di Diano, is grateful to Pierino for his work always carried out with great intellectual honesty”.
Before the author’s conclusions, who moved to thank all the participants for the success of the event, the writer and poet also spoke Mario Salvatore Senator. At the end of the works, the mayor of Sassano Domenico Rubino presented certificates of merit to the President of the Pro Loco Stefano Antonello Increase and to the President of the theater association of Sassano, Vincenzo Arnone.
Finally, the musical interventions performed by the musician Cono Coccaro and the reading of the poem “A Funtanedda”, by the poet Antonietta Spolzino, were applauded.
