Presentation of the book “The Art of Salvation”

The book The Art of Salvation will be presented on Saturday afternoon, at 5.15pm, at the Oratory of the Jesuit College. Fabulous story of Marck Art by Carmelo Sardo, Zolfo Editore. The journalist-publisher Ernesto Di Lorenzo will moderate the meeting, which has the patronage of the Municipality of Alcamo and the Friends of Music Association, and the magistrate Massimo Russo will intervene.
Marck Art, stage name of Marco Urso, born deaf. Raised in Favara, on the outskirts of Agrigento, he lived his childhood in silence, treated like someone suffering from a serious cognitive deficit.
Only when he was 15 did his parents – he a bricklayer, she a housewife – understand his condition and provide him with a hearing aid. Corpulent, short-sighted and cross-eyed, a perfect defenseless target for the town’s bullies, and his future does not seem to promise any redemption. Instead, in 2006, came the unexpected turning point infused with poetry and mysticism. Slipping into a mild coma, Marco is admitted to the hospital and wakes up claiming to see angels, who want him to paint for them.
