Collection of used children’s books to donate to Cona Paediatrics

“For the 45th anniversary of the Children’s Literature Prize we wanted to give ourselves a great gift, namely an initiative to bring books to children in hospital”. This is how Elena Melloni of the Cassa di Risparmio di Cento Foundation introduced the beautiful initiative that will come to life today thanks to the project with Benedict XIV. The Cassa di Risparmio di Cento Foundation, at the conclusion of the 45th edition of the Children’s Literature Prize, and the Benedetto , will be available to children hosted in the Pediatrics department of Cona Hospital. “Let’s make our books travel – they urge – A used book does not lose value so bring a book today, and when you enter the arena you can leave it in the appropriate boxes that will be found at the entrance. The Foundation, organizer of the Prize, will add to all the books collected a further significant number of books to make the donation really important”. And the value of books is underlined. “Our commitment is to be close to people even in moments of suffering – remarks Raffaella Cavicchi, president of the Cassa di Risparmio di Cento Foundation – what can we do it better with than with a book?”.
