“Immenmente Giulia”, who inspired the song Le Vibrazioni, has died

“Giulia”, the person who inspired one of the most loved songs by Le Vibrazioni, a Milanese band, passed away in the last few hours: Dedicated to you (2003), the first single from the group’s debut album and one of the biggest Italian hits of the 2000s. With a moving letter posted on social media, Francesco Sarcina remembered the passing of an important person not only for his music, but above all for his life. However, his true identity was never made known.

Sarcina’s words accompany a still image from the official video of the song, shot in Milan, on the Navigli, in which Giulia was played by the actress Angelica Cacciapaglia. The woman leaves behind a husband and two children. She had been ill for some time. Speaking about her some time ago in an interview, Sarcina said that “Giulia had saved his life and helped him get out of a very difficult period”. They had been very close in their 20s. The song was “a thank you missive to her”.

“On more than one occasion they asked me what I meant by “shining harmony”. I remember that my first thought was: “How the fuck can you not understand what it means?”. But then I realized that for to really understand the meaning, perhaps, it was necessary to know Giulia”, writes the Milanese singer on his social media.

“And now more than ever she is part of the shining harmony, leaving harmony and immensity in the hearts of all those who were lucky enough to know her. But she also leaves so much pain, pain because it is difficult to make sense of the such premature loss of a joy of nature as it has always been. Difficult because a mother and a brother lose a daughter and a sister”, he continues. “And if I can’t hold back the tears for the pain I feel, I don’t dare imagine his family. Family that I love and will love forever as I have always loved Giulia. The pain of not being able to say goodbye to you and tell you how much I love you But what is certain is that one day we will meet again and laugh at human stupidity”, he continues.
