Narrative medicine, the presentation of Paolo Trenta’s new book in Foligno

FOLIGNO – It is called “The narrative posture, the ways of being of the cure”, the latest volume on narrative medicine written by Paolo Trenta, which will be presented in Foligno on Monday 6 May at 5 pm, in the former church ss. Annunziata in via Garibaldi.

The initiative is promoted by the Cassa di Risparmio di Foligno Foundation and will see the participation of the president Monica Sassi, who will bring the institutional greetings and of the critical essayist Filippo La Porta, of the president of the Italian Society of Narrative Medicine Stefania Polvani, of the scientific journalist Luciano Ragno , of the director of the Rehabilitation department of the Umbria 2 Local Health Authority Mauro Zampolini and, obviously, of the author Paolo Trenta, former president of the National Observatory on Narrative Medicine as well as member of the steering committee of the Italian Society of Narrative Medicine, always involved in promotion of an approach that enriches the medical act thanks to the stories of patients, doctors, nurses and those who work on the “health planet”, but also thanks to their ability to describe the aspects of health and illness in their varied representations emotional as well as technical and scientific.
