Lots of books at Villa Elisa

Independent literature stops at Villa Elisawhere tomorrow, Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th April, the first edition of “A lot of books”an event that will involve 10 publishing houses busy presenting their latest releases.

The project, carried out by the Ponsacco Department of Culture and Education, was carried out with the collaboration of the Pontedera Foundation for Culture. Two days full of events, during which there will also be space for the “Books are magical because…” competition, reserved for all the girls and boys of the schools of the comprehensive institute of Ponsacco. In detail, the competition is divided into two sections, poetry and illustration, and the works must be delivered to stand by Carmignani Editrice by 5pm tomorrow.

The two-day event will be inaugurated in the morning, at 11 am, in the presence of the municipal administration with the participation ofassociation Historical Re-enactment of the Battle of Ponte di Sacco AD1497 and with the performance of the children’s choir “Nuvole di voci”, of theFriends of Music Association of Ponsacco. At 3pm there will be a workshop for children organized by the association Good Pro from Ponsaccowhile the presentations will begin at 4 pm with another is. The boy Rimbaud (Leonardo Libri) by Mario Bernardi Guardi (Leonardo Books). At 5pm, however, “Readings for colorful stories” organized by the Olifante association. The first day ends at 5.30 pm with the animated presentation of the children’s book Abelard, cowardly dragon (Fantasybooks).

On Sunday the festival begins at 10am with the presentation of the book The pages of pure mental delirium (Editorial Field) by Giacomo Spinelli, while at 11 “Ponsacco writes a lot” is scheduled, a review of local authors. They will intervene Monica Delli Laconi, Paola Gori, Walter Mangini, Nicla Mati And Barbara Sarriled by the historian and editor Michele Quirici. At 3pm there will be an awards ceremony for the competition dedicated to boys and girls, while at 4.30pm there will be space for readings and a book workshop Ghosts to the rescue (Carmignani Editrice) with Ettore De Benedictis, Italy’s youngest author. The program continues at 5pm with Readings for colored stories, organized by the Olifante Association and with the presentation of Aloha (Carmignani Editrice) by Luca Poli and, finally, at 6.30 pm with the presentation of the book The best in the country (Astarte Edizioni), by Saverio Bargagna. He’ll be there Ariela Rizziauthor of Hikikomori (Giulio Einaudi Editore), awarded the Bancarellino di Pontremoli prize.

During the event, a space dedicated to local associations will be set up and the documentary film will be screened Ponsacco. The navel of Valderacreated and produced by Rete Valdera from an idea and project by Fabrizia Falaschi and Maurizio Panicucci.
