29 years after his passing, again this year Cavaria with Premezzo pays homage to Mia Martini the singer who lived in Cavaria in her youth and then again in recent years.
The tribute to Mia Martini will be held on Saturday 11 May in the town hall square.
Mia Martini – born Domenica Rita Adriana Bertè – passed away on 12 May 1995, alone, in an apartment in nearby Cardano al Campo. She had been away from her area for years, and in the very year of her death she had returned to the Gallaratese area to be close to her now elderly father, Giuseppe Bertè, former head teacher of many institutes in Varese.
“Simply Mia” is the title of the concert in his honor which will be held on Saturday at 9pm in Piazza Pertini in Cavaria con Premezzo.
Entrance is free. In case of bad weather the concert will be held at the Frassati oratory in Cavaria (in via Amendola 229).
