The new cultural initiative entitled la. was presented this morning at the Tradate Library “Book Frera”That Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th May will liven up the cultural center in via Zara with a series of meetings, workshops, readings and shows dedicated to children and adults.

The event, organized by the Department of Culture and the staff of the city library, will open at 10am on Saturday 4 May with the Welcome from the Administration to the new born of 2023: all guests will be given a kit with a book selected from the “Born to read” initiative, the bibliography of Born to read and Born to read and all the advice for reading to the little ones.

During the two days are planned several meetings with local authors.

Saturday morning at 10.30 in the Frera euphony room Walter Brandani presents his book “Che cinema. Educate with films”. During the meeting entitled “Can films be an educational tool?” Some sequences will be viewed and discussed with the participants.

Also on Saturday but at 3pm in the conference room, Don Silvano Lucioni presents his photographic book “Wounded by beauty. Surprised by joy” during the meeting entitled “Learn to be amazed: the beauty of will chase and save you”.

Last appointment on Saturday – at 6pm in the library – the meeting with the writer Luca Bianchini who will present his latest editorial success, published by Mondadori, entitled “The heart is a gypsy”. Laura Orsolini will talk to him.

Sunday 5 May at 10am in the conference room Gea Lali (pseudonym of Laura Galli) presents the book “The influence of Jupiter”, an adventure for children set in the Pineta Park; while at 11.30, again in the conference room, Maddalena Grigoletto presents his book of poems entitled “The superb canvas” offering the public a creative poetic writing workshop entitled “The Goddesses in your head”.

For children, there will be Saturday afternoon Chicco Colombo, artist and actor, who will accompany them into the world of Kamishibai with his narration entitled “Light Stories. Reading stories” at 4pm in the Library.

Different programs have also been planned for children and teenagers comic workshopsbased on different age groups. They will take place in the study room and will have a limited number of places, upon reservation:

For the 7-10 year age group there will be Anna Marabelli with two drawing lessons on Sunday 5th, at 10am and 11.15am.
For the 10-13 year age group it will be Emmanuele Baccinelli, designer of the Mickey Mouse editorial team, to propose two workshops, Saturday 4 May at 2.30 pm and 4 pm.
Finally, for the older ones, aged 12 and up, the mangaka will be present Kitsune Yoru to teach the first steps into the world of Manga drawing, Sunday 5th at 2.30pm.

The two days will end on Sunday afternoon at 3.30 pm, in the library, with the show entitled “Books come to life” by Creg Production. The protagonists will be the actors Pierangelo Menci (Nastro d’argento 2024, actor of the fiction Don Matteo) e Arianna Cicci.

For the entire duration of the event The main bookstores in the area will be present, with which the Library has collaborated profitably for some time. At their stands it will be possible to purchase new books, used books, reminders, comics and easy-to-read books. There will be:
