When is the Rome ATP draw? Date, time, possible Sinner opponents

The main draw draw of theATP Masters 1000 in Rome will be held at 12.00 on Monday 6 May in the evocative setting of the Trevi Fountain: for the Internazionali BNL d’Italia an hour earlier, at 11.00 the draw for the women’s singles draw will be held (WTA 1000).

In the men’s tournament, unless the Serbian Novak Djokovic withdraws in the last minute, the Italian Jannik Sinnerbeing number 2 in the ATP ranking in the update that will be released on Monday 6 May, will be credited with the second seed and will be placed in the lower part of the main draw.

THE RULES

After the positions of all unseeded tennis players were drawn and assigning positions at the top at number 1 of seeding and in lower part at number 2the will be drawn positions of the 3rd and 4th seedsto determine who will be the favorite in the second and who in the third quarter of the scoreboard.

We will continue with the draw of the seeded from 5 to 8, who will only be able to meet the top four in the quarterfinals. We will then move on to the seedings from 9 to 12, who will be able to meet the seeds from 5 to 8 in the round of 16and the numbers between 13 and 16 of the seeding, who will have the hypothetical round of 16 against the best four.

We will move forward with the tennis players between number 17 and number 24, who should meet, on paper, the seeds between 9 and 16 in the third roundand finally the athletes between 25 and 32, who will go on to challenge the top eight seeds in the third round of the board.

THE SCENARIOS FOR JANNIK SINNER

Jannik Sinner, number 2 seedingwill be able to meet one between Carlos Alcaraz (3) and Daniil Medvedev (4) only in the semifinalswhile he will be able to find again only in the final Novak Djokovic (1). To the quarters finally, there may be a crossing with one of the seeded 5th to 8th, or, in order, Alexander Zverev, Casper Ruud, Andrey Rublev and Stefanos Tsitsipas.

Garlic eighths Sinner will instead be able to meet one of the girls seeded 13th to 16thor, in order, Taylor Fritz, Ben Shelton, Ugo Humbert and Tommy Paulwhile the blue, returning among the top 8 seeds, ai sixteenths (third round) will potentially face athletes between the 25th and 32nd of seedingamong which Lorenzo Musettifinally will not meet seeded players in second round (and in the first he will have a bye).
