“A manual for helping others”

After having conquered the stage of the 74th edition of the Sanremo Festival with the autobiographical song “La rage non ti Basta”, BigMama lands in bookstores with his first written work entitled “One Hundred Eyes”, published by Rizzoli. The Irpinia singer announced the release of the book, scheduled for May 14th, and wrote on her Instagram page: “It is a book that aims to help others through my story and my eyes. You can’t even imagine how liberating it is to talk about your life, I hope it can be of profound help in your difficult and uncertain moments. The important thing is to always get up, grow by believing in yourself, change your opinions, improve yourself and forgive This manual teaches it.”

After the Sanremo stage, BigMama flies high with the new album “Sangue” and the first book “Centoocchi”

The title of the book, “Centoocchi”, is the same that the rapper from San Michele di Serino gave to her latest single, the second track of the album “Sangue”, released at the end of March together with the video clip shot in Los Angeles. A powerful song which deals with the theme of catcalling, which the artist experienced firsthand. Once again, BigMama used music as a tool to raise awareness on social issues. The rapper said on Instagram: “One hundred eyes is a very heartfelt piece, I wrote it because I had reached my limit of tolerance. I want to make it simple for you, imagine returning home, perhaps after a day of work, perhaps with the usual tracksuit and headphones, getting out of the subway and starting to hear whistles, advances, sensing glances, a hundred eyes on you, winks, having to increase your pace, your heartbeat, then running, being chased, looked at, used, deprived of all freedom. It’s routine now.”

The singer added: “’It’s a voice that screams, the anxiety that returns, a life that burns, a woman that clutters, but here the trust is hidden in the shadows, your eye under my skirt’. One Hundred Eyes is an invitation to hold my hand and experience these sensations with me, to dive into my world in which I often lose my own freedom to live.”

“One Hundred Eyes” is contained inalbum “Blood”, launched last March 8, which for the singer represents an emotional journey through her roots, her experiences and her struggles. On her Instagram profile, the rapper explained that the album title reflects the deep bond she has with her family, her land and her personal history made up of open wounds, battles such as the one against cancer, suffering caused by bullying , but also about music, revenge and success.
