So much so that the report of his presence on Fazio’s broadcast arrived on Monday 29 April at the provincial school office, which will now open an investigation.
“I received some material on this matter – explains the director of the provincial school office, Giuseppe Panzardi —, we will make all the necessary assessments. It’s a situation we didn’t know about before, but this teacher has been injured for a few months. We will evaluate every possible aspect, we must first understand well what the situation is, for now I would not give any indication. When we receive a report of this type, we proceed to the investigation and evaluate the case from a disciplinary, criminal or civil point of view. A public employee is always such, even if he is president of an association and a public role must be represented with honor and decorum, there is a whole code of ethics to be respected. With a formal communication, we will examine the situation and carry out a preliminary investigation.”
The words of the school director
The director of the institute expresses “astonishment at a performance like the one I witnessed on TV by a teacher who was absent due to injury. I was aware of his role in the association he presides over, but this has never created problems, I have no evidence that she has ever proselytized at school.”
The teacher defended himself and said he was absolutely calm about his actions: “I got injured at school, in January I broke three ribs and consequently had an aggravation of my lumbar and cervical situation: I have been undergoing rehabilitation therapy for three months. Also on Monday I went to the treatment assigned to me by INAIL. For the rest I can do anything, I went to Fazio on Sunday evening and on Sunday evening, just like when I’m at school, I can do what I want, because that is my free time”.
