Descriptive text here

The contemporary political panorama is marked by a growing cultural and ideological confusion, a widespread disinterest in institutions and a dangerous tendency towards anti-politics. In this context, Pensiero forte emerges: Journey with Kelsen in the crisis of democracy, the new essay by Alberto Cardillo, published by Bonfirraro, which promises to offer a profound analysis and innovative perspectives for the future of European democracy.

The essay is enriched by the preface by Ignazio La Russa, the contributions of Gaetano Galvagno and Saro Sorace, and the interviews with Salvo Andò and Enzo Trantino. The book is available in bookstores, in online stores and on the Barrafranca publishing house website.

The book’s premiere in Giarre

The premiere of the book will be held in Giarre at the Hall of Mirrors of the Town Hall, Wednesday 17 April at 6pm. In addition to the author and publisher Salvo Bonfirraro, the presentation will be attended by the constitutionalist and former defense minister Salvo Andò, the historian Andrea Cerra, the journalist Saro Sorace. Journalist Giuseppe Timpone moderates the meeting.

The roots of European political thought

The author, with acumen and intellectual rigor, aims to trace the roots of European political thought, identifying in them the foundations for a possible rebirth. Through a reconnaissance of past ideologies and an analysis of the new world orders in formation, Cardillo highlights the pressing need to redefine the contours of liberal democracy to face the challenges of the present and future.

Hans Kelsen’s contribution

At the center of the book is the contribution of Hans Kelsen, father of modern constitutionalism, whose work proves essential for a new construction of politics, parties and parliamentarism. Strong Thought: Journey with Kelsen in the Crisis of Democracy is not limited to an academic analysis, but is configured as an invitation to share ideas capable of countering the spread of anti-politics and re-establishing the fundamental principles of a participatory and representative democracy.

The words of the author

Alberto Cardillo, author of the book, states with determination: “I am deeply convinced that in an era of political and cultural turbulence, it is essential to rediscover the roots of European political thought to chart a path towards a brighter future. With Strong Thought: Journey with Kelsen into the Crisis of Democracy, I tried to offer a perspective that goes beyond superficial analyses, focusing on the strong ideas and conceptual structures that can constitute a bulwark against rampant anti-politics. I hope that this book can help stimulate constructive dialogue and inspire concrete actions towards a more participatory and inclusive democracy.”

A call to reflection

This work presents itself as a call to reflection, a guide to look beyond the horizon of the present and build a future in which politics is an instrument of progress and social cohesion. Strong Thought: Journey with Kelsen in the Crisis of Democracy is destined to become an essential point of reference for those seeking clarity and perspectives in contemporary political chaos.

The publisher Bonfirraro, “Proud to present this work”

Publisher Salvo Bonfirraro shares the enthusiasm for this revolutionary publication, declaring: “We are proud to present this work which not only analyzes the current situation, but offers a guide for the renewal of politics and democracy.
