The appointment is for Sunday 21 April at the Alfa Romeo Museum in Arese: at 2.30 pm it will be possible to take part in or admire a parade of Biscione cars on the internal circuit and at 3.00 pm it will be possible to hear from the voices of the protagonists the most significant stories regarding the latest two “red” racing cars, the Alfa 155 and 156 which dictated the law in touring car competitions in the 1990s and 2000s.
Stories narrated and illustrated in the new book published by the Automotoclub Storico Italiano “Alfa Romeo 155 and 156: DTM, Superturismo and Super 2000”, co-written by Sergio Limone and Sergio Remondino. The House of Biscione has written unforgettable pages in the history of motoring and this book recalls and recounts the triumphs achieved by the 155 and 156 sedans in touring car races from 1992 to 2007.
A golden age that began with the 155 GTA and continued with the fantastic season of the DTM, the German Touring Car Championship, won at the first attempt, in 1993. Then came the triumphs in the BTCC, the ’94 English Touring Car Championship, and in many other occasions. Once the career of the 155 was over, from 1998 it was the heir 156’s turn to continue the streak of successes, extended until 2007 and peppered with numerous titles and race victories in the Super Touring, European and WTCC Championships, the category World Championship.
An adventure relived, documented and told by Sergio Remondino, historic Autosprint signature, and Sergio Limone, designer of most of the cars described in the volume published by ASI Service. This rich book is embellished with testimonies from many of the protagonists and made unique by unpublished images and drawings that accompany it.
Both the parade on the track open to all Biscione cars and the presentation of the book are included in the entrance ticket to the Alfa Romeo Museum.
