Banksy in Ukraine? Two works against Putin emerge near Kiev – Photos

The photographer Ed Ram released several images of the partially destroyed city of Borodyanka, in Ukraine. Among these appear two that portray graffiti that would seem to lead to Banksy. The first represents a judoka child who knocks out an adult man, with a reminder of Russian President Vladimir Putin, suspended as honorary president of the International Judo Federation following the military invasion in Ukraine. The second portrays two children painted on some blocks of marble who seem to be playing on a swing which in reality is a Friesian horse, a defensive obstacle to prevent the advance of the enemy. “Does anyone know if he’s a #Banksy?” Asks the photographer on his social media accounts. “Still no claims, but little doubt that it is him,” he replies Stefano Antonelli which – together with Gianluca Marziani – curated several important exhibitions of the mysterious artist. “It would seem that the British artist went to the war zone to create the two photo works in the city of Borodjanka, Kiev Oblast,” writes Atonelli on Facebook. «Banksy – he concludes – reappears after a year and eleven months of silence that had fueled various speculations. It is plausible that others will emerge in the next few days ».
