“Lessons in the pipeline”, Architecture students meet the companies of Ance Siracusa

The initiative

A meeting that allowed students to learn about the parts of the product created, the problems faced, the materials used and the safety measures

This morning the companies of Ance Siracusa, Solesi and Cammisa Costruzioni, welcomed the students of the executive design course led by professor Luigi Alini of the Architecture department of Syracuse to their construction site “The Syraka cellars of Syracuse”. Thanks to the availability offered by the client Francesco Polito and with the help of the designers of the work, the engineers Cristina Foti and Giuseppe Liarda, together with the presence of the architect Tortorici of the OPT of Syracuse, a lesson on construction systems was held on site , technological innovation and safety on construction sites.

During the visit, an interesting constructive dialogue developed between the students, the designers and the representatives of the companies Dimitri Garofalo (Solesi) and Salvatore La Rosa (Cammisa Costruzioni) which allowed the students to learn about the parts of the building created, the problems faced , the materials used and the safety provisions.

A great participation of “future professionals” students was found – declared the architects La Rosa and Garofalo -, a circumstance that gives construction companies hope. These initiatives in the pipeline are welcome because they encourage meetings and interactions between job opportunities for new future architects and the needs of companies that want to renew and regenerate”.
