Chilling war footage, starring the Wagner Group. In the video in question, an inmate – recruited by the same mercenary militiamen fighting alongside Russia – is seen being killed with a club in the head.
The killing of Evgeny Nuzhin
The victim was called Evgeny Nuzhin, 55 years old. The man was kidnapped and executed by the same Wagner Group of which he was a part as he, after being captured by the Ukrainians and saying he wanted to go to their side and fight against Vladimir Putin, he was considered a traitor.
In the video, Nuzhin explains that his intention was to go “over to Ukraine, to do something against Putin”. “I went to the front to fight against the Russians – continued the soldier -. On September 4th, I put my plan into action. On November 11, however, when I was on a street in Kiev, someone hit me on the head, knocking me unconscious. I woke up in this cellar, where my death sentence was communicated to me ”.
The other version
According to another version, Nuzhin may have returned to Russian territory as part of a prisoner exchange, and was immediately identified and captured by the Wagner Group.
The comment of the founder of the Wagner Group
The founder of the Wagner Group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, very close to the Russian president, he commented on the video on social media: “As for the one who was killed with a hammer, this show shows that he did not find happiness in Ukraine, he met rude but fair people. I think the title of this video is ‘The dog deserves the death of the dog’ ”. The videos were posted on Twitter by the independent Belarusian news site Nexta.
According to various experts and war observers, the terrifying images are nothing more than a clear message sent by Wagner: whoever decides to desert ends up like this.
