A motel cleaner finds a dog peeking out from under a bed: it has been abandoned

A few weeks ago in Fresno, a city in California (USA), a cleaning lady of a motel was making her daily rounds when she came across a heartbreaking scene: a dog appeared from under a bed in a room that needed cleaning. It was a Pit Bull puppy that had been abandoned.

The motel called Animal Control Officer Rudy Pina who arrived as quickly as possible to assess the situation. When the man arrived, the puppy peeked out from between the two beds in the room, unsure if he could trust him. When he realized he was finally safe, he immediately opened up to the man.

“When I saw the puppy approaching me, I immediately understood that he was fine and was very friendly,” Pina told The Dodo, specifying that in his opinion he had been stuck in that room for a day or two. In other words, help arrived at just the right time.

Once brought to the Fresno Animal Center, the dog began to show his lovable and outgoing personality. He kept wagging his tail and jumping on Pina: “He’s super sweet. He’s a good-looking puppy.”

While the idea of ​​a puppy being abandoned in a motel room may seem shocking, Pina says it’s actually not that uncommon: “Unfortunately, this happens quite often… Believe it or not, at least almost every week.”

And for this very reason the man decided to publish the video on TikTok (@apina) to raise public awareness on this type of problem that is often not so well known. And then the video brought luck to the puppy: when a family saw him, they decided to adopt him. That closed room was only the first, difficult, stage of a journey that hopefully will be full of love.
