Italy is the country that will close its polls for voting later, also considering the fact that in many sections people also vote for the administrative and regional elections.

In the rest of Europe the turnout data in some cases are already definitive as a result of polls already closed, even if they have not yet been disclosed. In Ireland the closure took place on Friday and the exit polls speak of a turnout similar to that of 2019, when it stood at 50%. Even in the Netherlands the polls have already been closed but in this case the definitive figure has been released, which stood at 47%. In Malta, yesterday afternoon, the record figure was reached 43%11 points compared to 2019. Even in Germany the turnout figure at 2pm on Sunday increased compared to that of 2019, reaching 32.3%, almost three points more than in the previous elections, when it was recorded at the same time The 29.4%. The final turnout in Germany in 2019 was 61.4%.

The trend was the opposite in Spain, where up until 2pm the turnout was 28%, a sharp drop compared to the 34.7% recorded in 2019. In Portugal, however, so far there has been growth compared to the previous elections, even if the figure stopped at 15%. In 2019, the total number of voters in the Andalusian country, when the polls closed, voted just 31% of those entitled. Even in France the 12 o’clock figure was higher than that of the 2019 elections, with an intermediate figure that stopped at 19.81%, an increase compared to the 19.26% of the previous electoral round. A decidedly more marked increase was recorded in Hungary, where the voter went to the polls at 11am 22.89% against 17.16% in 2019.

No country will reveal the results before the polls close in the country that closes its polls later, which is Italy. Therefore, the first exit polls will not be released before 11.15pm.

The latest projection will be released at 1pm on Monday 10 June and from that moment the actual data for all seats in Europe should begin to be released. The countries that closed the polls in recent days should release the final data while Italy and all those that close today will take several hours longer to communicate them.
