Salvini toasts the European Championships with a Mojito and sings “Luci a San Siro”
The secretary of the league Matteo Salvini guest of Rai Radio1 jokes with the hosts: spirits are full of sugar and I’m on a diet. A child with Francesca (Verdini, ed.)? The offer, in the studios of Un giorno da pecora, on Rai Radio1, was made by the hosts Lauro and Cucciari to the leader of the League, who was reminded of that drink which caused so much discussion in the past. The deputy prime minister played along, however, specifying that “three in the afternoon and a Rai studio” are not exactly the right context for a cocktail and adding: “Spirits have a lot of sugar and I’m on a diet, so I only taste them a sip. Better a glass in the company of any type of drug.”
Between one question on internal politics and another, the hosts returned to a controversy made by the Minister of Transport, the one linked to the cap of plastic bottles. On the edge of irony, then, Geppi Cucciari showed the guest in the studio the correct way to move the cap in question to be able to drink from the bottle. Salvini’s response? “Normal people don’t throw their caps on the ground.”
Finally, the Northern League leader sang ‘luci a San Siro’, one of the songs “that Francesca adores, also because she has a veneration for Roberto Vecchioni”, explained Salvini.
