On the evening of December 31, 2021, in Denver, IN Colorado (USA), the animal welfare office Denver Animal Shelter receives a phone call.
Callers are employees of a thrift shop to whom a family had donated a reclining chair.

When the owners leave, leaving the sofa, the employees hear meowing from inside. As soon as they peek inside, they notice there was a Red Cat stuck in the couch!

Where is Montequlla?
When the feline’s family realizes that Montequlla was not at home, they search the entire house without success.
After thinking for a while, they return to the thrift store where they left the chair and are informed that they have indeed found the animal. Fortunately, they were also able to provide them with the contact details of the officer who had handled the case.
Luckily, this strange case had a happy ending and the orange cat is now back with his family, who are also happy and relieved to hug Montequlla again.
