The post on Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz’s X account. In another photo the attack is on the Eiffel Tower. The Italian Foreign Minister invites us to «Avoid panic» and «not to worry, but to take care»

First the Colosseum then the Eiffel Tower targeted by Iranian missiles. The provocative alert comes from Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz who, in a post on social media, launched a warning to the “capitals of the world”, including Rome and Paris, about the risk of potential attacks by Tehran after the recent raid carried out by the Pasdaran with drones and missiles on Israel in retaliation for the attack attributed to Israel on the consulate in Damascus.

“Iran’s recent attack on Israel is just a preview of what cities around the world can expect if the Iranian regime is not stopped,” the Israeli Foreign Minister wrote on the Iranian Revolutionary Guards “a terrorist organization,” as well as “sanctioning Iran’s ballistic missile program.” Everything, according to Katz, must be done “before it is too late”. Accompanying it is a photo depicting an image of the Colosseum on which six missiles are about to hit. From Rome to Paris.

Hours later, the same head of Foreign Affairs of the Jewish State released an identical message, this time addressing it to the French, and posting the symbolic monument of the Ville Lumière. Then the warning written in English, French and Hebrew “Stop Iran” addressed to US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, to the Italian Minister, Antonio Tajani, and to their German, French and English counterparts. In the video, with the Eiffel Tower in the background, in the foreground there is a quiet scene of a gentleman about to have a croissant and a cappuccino, interrupted by a gunshot. The head of Israeli diplomacy then asked his EU counterparts “to impose sanctions on the Iranian missile project”. Announcing it on X, Katz added that «the project endangers the world. We must stop Iran before it is too late.” Iranian missiles, he recalled, “have a range of up to 3 thousand kilometers”. The impression, according to some observers, is that Israel did not appreciate the request for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, which arrived in recent days from Rome.

He doesn’t say he’s worried but iTajani invites us to “avoid panic”. which reiterates its commitment to de-escalation, not ruling out a conversation with the Iranian minister “in the next few days”. “I don’t think there is a possibility of an attack on the West” by Iran “which also makes serious mistakes but we must avoid creating panic”, added Tajani, adding that “rather than worry we need to worry”. Tajani then recalled the recent G7 meeting, where they worked for “de-escalation, trying to use all possible diplomatic tools to prevent the situation from worsening”, reiterating the commitment to “continue working to achieve the ceasefire in Gaza, the release of all hostages and humanitarian aid for the civilian population.” The final objective, he insisted, “is not to erase Israel, a friend of Italy”, but to have “two peoples and two states that they recognize each other.”
