Berlin summons the Russian ambassador

The German Foreign Ministry summoned the Russian ambassador. The convocation is the reaction of the ministry led by Annalena Baerbock to what emerged following the arrests of two Russian-German spies who, commissioned by Moscow’s services, allegedly planned
bomb and arson attacks on military infrastructure and industrial sites in Germany, to prevent supplies to Ukraine.

“Germany does not allow itself to be intimidated by Putin’s agents.” This is what the German Interior Minister, Nancy Faeser, assured, commenting on the arrest of the two Russian spies, who were preparing attacks in Germany to sabotage aid to Kiev.

“Our security personnel avoided possible bomb attacks, which should have affected and undermined military aid
to Ukraine,” Faeser said in a statement. “We will not be frightened and will continue to massively support Ukraine,” she added.

The German government “increased security measures” in Germany after the arrest of two German-Russian agents who allegedly planned attacks on industrial and infrastructure to prevent military supplies to Ukraine.

German Interior Minister Nancy Faeser said this, calling the fact “serious”. The minister, who had already taken a position stating that Germany will not be intimidated, confirmed that the Russian ambassador had been summoned by the Foreign Ministry.
