The Boys, the latest news from the series confirms that [SPOILER] is it really a Super?

We’re back again talking about Super, powers, perversions and lots and lots of blood shed. There fourth season of The Boys has rekindled enthusiasm towards the adaptation of the famous comic and in particular the last episode available on the platform has tickled the public with a surprising twist. Did one of the protagonists really become a Super?

Now that we have launched the spoiler alert, we can speak clearly: in the last episode we discover that there is something more behind the suffering of Butcher (Karl Urban)once leader of the The Boys and now relegated to the margins or almost. Suffering from a brain tumor, the agent tries to carry out his revenge and rescue plan Ryan (son of Homelander and his ex-wife) before he dies, but things could be different.

The clues scattered so far came to fruition in the end of this episode: after seeing a strange “something” move in Butcher’s body, we discover that he somehow managed to tearing preacher Ezekiel to pieces in his caravan, shortly before he strangled the protagonist. We don’t know what happened because Butcher himself passes out, but it’s impossible that he managed to cause that carnage without having Super powers.

Immediately afterwards, confetell Hughie that he took some Compound V (the serum that grants powers) from Frenchie in an attempt to cure cancer, but something went wrong. What if it wasn’t so? Clearly Butcher has new powers, different from those he possessed when he injected himself with Temp V. However, it is not clear what nature they are and above all their effectiveness: the cancer has not been cured – while shortly afterwards we see Hughie’s father awaken from brain death – and there is something stirring beneath his body.

What is it about? Did the serum somehow give real “life” to the tumor, transforming it into a creature capable of taking control of Butcher’s body when he loses consciousness? Does this rule out his possible recovery? There Prime Video series is very different from the original comic and nothing can be ruled out, including a miraculous rescue of her at the end of this season.

The Boys, as announced, will end with the fifth season and there is therefore plenty of time to find out more about the fate of Butcher and the others. Have a third Super on the team after that Starlight And KimikoHowever, it could help kids get the better of Homelander and Vought…
