Now that My Hero Academia 425 has clarified the duration of the epilogue, fans are curious to find out if, in the same chapter, a clue has actually been inserted about the return of a villain who has terrorized the heroes for several chapters. Be careful of the spoilers that follow above My Hero Academia.
The fan base knows well that, in chapter 390, Shoto Todoroki defeated his brother Dabi. Soon after, recovery robots took him away and, being in critical condition, many assumed that he would die shortly thereafter.
At the end of chapter 425, we see Shoto inclined to participate in Yuga’s farewell party as long as it is not held on the same day that the narrative currently stops.
In fact, in the last panel of the chapter, we can observe Endeavour who, in a wheelchair, is intent on looking at a huge machine and the manga, momentarily, left us with an enigmatic phrase: “The Todoroki family faces…”.
The reference is almost certainly to Dabi’s health conditions and the author will probably take action one of these two roads:
1) Dabi slowly manages to recover and to reintegrate into society;
2) Realizing that Dabi is now beyond redemption and his injuries are too serious, the Todoroki decide to “pull the plug” on him.
Meanwhile, the pause of My Hero Academia delays the release of the next chapter, forcing us to wait a little longer to find out the fate of Toya Todoroki and to witness the Hero Academia’s farewell to Yuga Aoyama.
