WHO GOES UP (Half past eight)
On paper, a very difficult episode for the defense minister, Guido Crosetto from Cuneo, guest on Otto e mezzo on La7 on Tuesday. In the studio, in addition to the fierce presenter Lilli Gruber, also Antonio Padellaro. The hottest topics on the table: Toti case, premiership, justice, war in Ukraine, university protesters and the inevitable question about Vannacci. Crosetto deliberately avoided the inevitable provocations, keeping faith with François Mitterrand’s motto: on TV, he who fights back without getting upset wins.
And the data proved him right. The episode achieved notable ratings: 1,872,000 viewers and a 9.1% share, clearly confirming its leadership in access time. Without allowing himself to be influenced by the new wave of judicial grillism that cloaks a certain part of the information, the defense minister strenuously defended the guaranteeist mantra, recalling that almost all the investigations into governors conducted in the last twenty years have subsequently been downsized if not completely denied by the Supreme Court.
Of course the game is not over and one swallow does not make a summer and there are more than 3 weeks left between now and June 8th, but Guido Crosetto’s message – the numbers say – has certainly reached its destination and has captured the public’s interest. Still, a good sign.
