It doesn’t unbutton Veronica Peparinithe former teacher of Friends who we saw as a competition judge again this year on the Sunday show, who knows a lot about talents, having identified many of them in the Canale 5 talent school, starting with his current partner Andreas Muller to end with the last one, Giulia Stabile.
Veronica Peparini, together with Andreas, continues to grow talents even away from the spotlight. Libero Magazine met them during the presentation of the dream made reality by Giuliano Pepaprinialso very well known to the Amici audience, as well as being a great artist of international fame, who opened in Rome, in the neighborhood where the two brothers grew up, the Peparini Academy, a huge multifunctional space, ready to welcome young people who dream of a future in the world of art, but also those who, at all ages, want to live and deepen a passion. With dance and music courses (led by the teacher Beppe Vessicchio), theater, but also costumes, scenography, dubbing and much more. A real factoy of talent, an ambitious project that will also see guest artists from all over the world alternating with workshops and seminars and involving students already in work projects at the most advanced level of their studies.
Veronica Peparini and Andreas Muller, together with Friends and Outside, at Home and at Work, you are now involved in this new adventure, how did you get involved in Giuliano’s project?
“It’s something that came a bit naturally, it’s part of our growth, of our experiences, it was exactly the right thing to do, it came almost as a natural development at this point in our journey. It wasn’t who knows when it was negotiated, Giuliano he did it and we supported him and we will support him because we are family.”
Andreas: “It’s not like he talked to us for who knows how long about this idea to convince us, also because Giuliano always has many projects on the line during the year all over the world, and one day he simply told us what he was trying to build and here we are “helpers” to carry this structure forward”.

Veronica Peparini replies “Yes, it’s true, it was a bit like that, then the program evolved differently, and took its own path to become what it is today. Here we want to create a real art school that also reflects a bit of what our path has been and our own experiences which have been different” Adds Andreas Muller: “I’ll give you my personal example: in 2020 I had the possibility of having my contract renewed as a professional for Friends. That year, however, I decided to focus on my growth by studying acting. This is to say that here we are thinking about creating a place where if you need to expand your baggage with other tools and other artistic skills you can do it.”
Veronica: “I think it’s also nice that we give the possibility of creating a meeting point for those who study dance or are passionate about it. Because I think it’s nice to arrive in a place that immerses you 360 degrees and lets you breathe the air of art and dance, music, theatre. It wants to be a meeting point for kids who can share their passions, and it is fundamental home”.
So now that you have to manage two newborns it will also be convenient
“With the stroller it’s a snap!” Andreas jokes, Veronica adds: “Yes, we will arrive with the stroller from home and they will stay here in a beautiful environment with large spaces to breathe in the air of art. My eldest daughter, Olivia, also dances but at the moment she is in another school , but if she wants she will come. She’s done the auditions like everyone else, so she’s definitely interested in coming but I don’t know if she’ll decide to do it later.”
Is it true that Andreas would prefer that your daughters not follow in your footsteps because dance offers little security?
Veronica: “Maybe they will grow up poor, but happy if that’s what they really want!” Andreas specifies: “This is right, but it is also right to clarify the fact that it is not necessarily true that those in the spotlight live in luxury, because if they see you dancing on TV people think of who knows what stellar salaries, while in reality it is not so, you live in a humble apartment, you have a very normal car, and therefore, if I think about this, my wish for my daughters is that, regardless of the profession they choose to do, they can first of all be happy but also be able to support themselves, have some certainties in short, because then it’s nice to chase dreams but there is also a moment when you need some things to be sorted out to live with the right peace of mind.
Andreas, this is your first experience as a parent: how has your life changed since you became a dad?
“He’s in love”, says Veronica in front of her visibly proud partner: “Well because it’s something we wanted so much and when you really want to become a father, once you succeed, the joy is so much, more than when it arrives but you don’t feel it.” ‘you were waiting. We looked for this thing a lot, it was very desired and we had actually been talking about it for a long time, then knowing that it wasn’t one but two girls was wonderful.”
How do you manage with the practical management of two such small girls?
“The first night we returned home from the hospital, at midnight I changed both diapers, also because I really like doing it, and I went to sleep. I woke up at 7.30 and told Veronica: ‘the night is it went very well’, and she replies: ‘I got up four times!’, and then I realized, luckily, she’s there.”
You Veronica, you already have two children, how did they take the arrival of your little sisters?
“My son Daniele changes them, breastfeeds them, and Olivia too, they are very present. At the beginning I didn’t know how they could take it, I became more paranoid about their reaction” Andreas: “She tells it like this now but it was a tough period, he waited until he was on tour with Claudio Baglioni to give the news to his parents too” “Yes, I lived it with anxiety, because I didn’t know how they would take it and instead they were all happy and content”.
Your bond with Friends remains, so we can only ask you, given that we are just a few days away from the final, who wins Amici 23?
Veronica Peparini: “I won’t tell you my favourite, but I can tell you that this year, from what I saw, even going into the episode, there was a very high level of dance, so whoever wins wins, wins well. It’s difficult to say the name of the winner because the last ones left are very good.”
Is Alessandra Celentano right to say that they are excellence?
“Celentano always has excellence, excellence is always hers!” (laughs)
Andreas, in your opinion, between Marisol and Dustin, who wins?
“In the dance it’s a really good final, if they will fight it because this year there really isn’t an obvious victory at all like perhaps in other years in which there was someone who stood out above the others. In this case both Marisol and Dustin are very valid, dance still wins.”
Veronica Peparini, you are very busy with many projects at the moment, but would you return to Amici as a teacher?
“I don’t exclude anything, Amici is always a context that gives a lot, a beautiful experience, and also does a lot to raise awareness of the world of dance”.
Instead there are rumors that Milly Carlucci is courting Andreas Muller as a teacher for Dancing with the Starswould you follow Raimondo Todaro’s path in reverse?
Andreas: “I have no idea about this, but what can I say? I like working a lot, I have accepted a thousand challenges in recent years, I even did drag in a Rai program, I love putting myself to the test. For many I have remained the dancer but I know that in the meantime I have done many other things and that I can test myself on many other things”.
Many work projects, two newborn girls, is there also a wedding in sight for Veronica Peparini and Andreas Muller?
“If you ask me!” laughs Veronica, “Even marriage?!” Andreas jokes, they certainly already have plenty of irons in the fire.
