The Island of the Famous changes again. There is no peace for the reality show of Vladimir Luxuria which, already in a ratings crisis, has to face yet another change in programming. After the debut on the weekend set for Sunday nextIndeed, The Island will in fact find space in the schedule of Wednesday of Canale 5 for a double weekly appointment, all with the final on June 4th ever closer. Between continua withdrawals (the latest in chronological order is the excellent one of Joe Bastianich) And controversy of former competitors (with Francesco Benigno returned to office), the 18th edition of the reality show never took off, and yet another move certainly doesn’t seem destined to help. Yesterday, Monday 13 May 2024, the eighth episode of the series aired The Island of the Famouswhich did not go beyond 16.6% of share (2 million and 114 thousand spectators), confirming once again the audience crisis of this season of the Canale 5 reality show. The 18th edition of the program, hosted for the first time by Vladimir Luxurianever actually got off the ground, penalized not only by a lackluster cast and dynamics that never took off, but also by numerous defections, withdrawals and even disqualifications who decimated the shipwrecked people in Honduras. What is certain is that not even the deferred or continuous episodes helped schedule changes (in addition to the canonical Monday, the reality show was also broadcast on Thursday, Sunday and will soon debut on Wednesday). Nonetheless, Mediaset has decided to try to shuffle the cards for the last weeks of theIslanddesperately chasing ratings.
Starting next May 19th The Island of the Famous it will be broadcast on Sunday, but not only. As revealed by the portal DavideMaggioin fact, the reality show hosted by Vladimir Luxuria will leave the Monday prime time on Canale 5 to I Canto Familybut will also be broadcast on Wednesdays, thus returning to double weekly appointment. The ninth live broadcast of The Island it will therefore fall Sunday 19 May 2024while the tenth will find space in the first evening of Wednesday 22 May 2024. The double appointment could also be confirmed for the following week, but Mediaset’s doubts will be resolved only after analyzing the ratings. Indecision thus still reigns supreme just over two weeks before the match very finalwhich – initially scheduled for June 4 – could now air on June 2, 2024.
