The pre-compiled 2024 version becomes simplified. Starting tomorrow, Tuesday 30 April, it will be possible to access the reserved area of the Revenue Agency website using your Spid, Cns or Cie credentials to consult the data made available by the Tax Office, which will constitute the backbone of the 730. What started the pre-compilation machine was a provision signed by the director of Revenue, Ernesto Maria Ruffini.
Simplified route
The big news this year is represented by the fact that, for pensioners and employees, the Agency will make information available through a simplified and guided path. When the possibility of confirmation or modification is unlocked, those data will then be automatically reported in the tax return. The date set by the Tax Office to make changes or accept the form is Monday 20 May.
Direct refunds
Among the other new features this year is the possibility of obtaining 730 refunds directly from the Revenue, even for those who have a tax withholding agent (such as the employer or social security institution). To send the 730 you will have until September 30, 2024, while you will have until October 15 to send the income form.
The numbers
In total, the information transmitted for the 2024 season is approximately 1.3 billion (1,270,674,831 to be exact). The data relating to the home (income, any rental contracts, interest on the mortgage) will be collected in the new “home” section, the charges in the “expenses incurred” section, the information on spouse and children in the “family” section.

As always, the top five of the data transmitted include healthcare expenses (over 1 billion tax documents), insurance premiums (98 million data), unique certifications of employees and self-employed workers (75 million), bank transfers for renovations (10 million ) and interest on mortgages (9 million). Among the new features this year, the data relating to reimbursements for the sight bonus, those sent by pediatric nurses and those relating to local public transport season tickets. All items that are added to those already present in previous years: social security contributions, university expenses, nursery school expenses, renovation work, donations.
