What will happen to Lil Jolie after leaving Amici 23 and signing with BMG

Lil Jolie, stage name of Angela Ciancio, had to wait a few hours after her elimination from the Canale 5 talent show Amici 23. In fact, the Campanian author, from her social profiles, announced the signing with the BMG label. In her post greeting the show, Lil Jolie highlighted the opportunity she was given on the show: “This experience allowed me to look at myself from further away, and therefore to be closer to myself. I will forever be grateful to Amici and Maria“. During the broadcast, the singer revealed three new songs: Folly, It’s not the end And Moment. The songs, which have collected over four million streams, however, reflect only one side of her journey within the talent: an intermittent light, not always in the best conditions to shine.

In fact, before the Evening, Lil Jolie was one of the singers forced to change, right in the final stages of the Afternoon, the team with which she had worked in recent months. After having spent the first few months subdued, also due to a lack of habit of the television dynamics that overlap with the harshness of a school like Amici, Lil Jolie has however always proven to be one of the most versatile voices in this edition’s roster. The most visible example of her comes from her unpublished works, above all Folly, a much more complex song compared to the lightness with which the singer-songwriter performed. Arrived at March 10th, after some hypotheses in the weeks preceding the arrival of the Evening of a change of team, especially wanted by the teacher Anna Pettinelli, Lil Jolie was forced to change teams in order to deserve a golden jersey at the Eveningnot guaranteed in the Zerbi team: Holden and Petit tower above her, who had already shown a great spirit of adaptation right from the start. The first for the unreleased songs to be published within the talent show, the second in staging on stage and in exploiting the musicality of the French language and the Neapolitan dialect, which inevitably increased interest in him.

Another element that could have negatively influenced the young singer could be represented by the difficulty in making her fragility known to the public, which was only reduced in some key moments of her career. It is enough to observe her challenge with Giulia last December, when on the threshold of elimination she managed to excite the public with What’s Up of the 4 Non Blondes, a cry of liberation that allowed her to keep her desk. More recently, during the Evening, after the first three subdued episodes, due to the strong emotions experienced during the broadcast, but also bronchitis that almost knocked her out of the game, the fourth episode was a masterclass. Seven performances, traveling between the classics of Italian music to her unreleased songs, finally having fun on a stage on which she showed a very wide range of emotions, finally. For reasons unfortunately linked to the physical conditions of Gaia, the two best performers of the evening, just Lil Jolie and Sarah Toscano they were forced into the final challenge, with the decision then postponed until the following week, when it was then eliminated.

The dynamics of the show itself seem to have put a brake on its possibilities, but this limit could turn into an opportunity to surprise the public, now that BMG has decided to focus on it. Even before her entry into the talent scene, Lil Jolie had already collaborated with some of the greatest urban Roman authors, from Carl Brave to Ketama126, passing through Pretty Solero. She had also collaborated with Nahaze, another acquaintance from the 23rd edition of Amici, who however she failed to reach the Evening stage. It will be interesting to understand how he wants to present himself on the market, leaving behind the insecurities he had in the program: on the other hand, his progress, especially in staging, only illustrates the qualities of a school like Amici.
