In the name of Massimo Troisidirector Mario Martone he conquered the David di Donatello 2024 as best documentary for «Someone over there loves me»a film that recounts the career of one of the symbols of Naples through unpublished interviews and interventions by colleagues.

On the thirtieth anniversary of his death, the candidacy turns out to be a great tribute to one of the most significant artists who Naples (and all of Italy) has had throughout its history.

«Long live cinema and Long live Massimo!» he shouts from the stage of the Teatro Cinque in Cinecittà Martone holding his prize in his hands. Visibly happy and excited, the director thanked the judges and his collaborators.

«A friendship was born with Massimo based on great mutual respect», said the director Mario Martone. «I loved his cinema, we dreamed of working together. The possibility that is offered to me to make a documentary film in which the public can find him today on the big screen is therefore something special for me, I can return to dialogue with him, listen to him and bring him to the spectators of yesterday and to those of today, who are so many”.
