Descriptive text here

Among the (many) assertions that we can draw from the full spoilers of One Piece 1112, one in particular seems to have attracted the attention of readers: that there will be no weekly interruption between the upcoming chapter and issue #1113. Although the break schedule relating to the manga could present some (for some) unexpected surprises.

After a long three-week break, during which Eiichiro Oda he had the opportunity not only to rest, but, according to him, to “recharge your energies, in order to better define the plots on which the near future of the work will be structured”, the manga is finally ready to officially return on April 21st on the pages of Weekly Shōnen Jump: and is preparing to do so with a chapter, which since the first spoilers that emerged on One Piece 1112, has appeared radical, not only for the contents on which it is based – and which, clearly, we will not throw into it here light – but above all for the naturalness with which he sank the narrative into a hellish climate. To the point that the resolution of the Egghead chapter cycle – which should be reached quickly, if not already from the end of next month – now appears destined to culminate in a tragic epilogue for all the characters involved: and from which the socio-political universe of One Piece will emerge indisputably changed.

It is no coincidence, then, that to observe the consequences of the revelations – or rather, of the suggestions – offered by Eiichiro Oda in chapter 1112, you only need to wait a weekconsidering both the (long) break that separated the two previous issues and the particular editorial calendar that all manga publishers in Japan must follow in May. If, in fact, the chapter 1113 will not be preceded by any interruption, since its official release date on Shueisha’s magazine has been set for Sunday 28 Aprilthe month of May, on the contrary, will be inaugurated by aanother pausewhose reasons, in this case, are not attributable to personal, creative or health motivations on the part of the One Piece mangaka.

Those who are familiar with the festive liturgies of Japan know well that the week from Monday 29 April to Sunday 5 May overlaps with the so-called “Golden Week”, or to the most extended period of public holidays of the country, during which not only all editorial publications of the Japanese comics industry stop (from magazines, volumes and so on) but also the work activities of national companies cease. The week, in fact, is inaugurated by the so-called “Shōwa day”, the day on which the birthday of the late Emperor Hirohito, then followed on May 3 by Constitution Day, on May 4 by “Green Day” to finally culminate on Sunday with “Children’s Day”, which marks the end of the holiday period. For this reason theOne Piece chapter 1114 release will necessarily have to be postponed to the second weekend of the month, until it lands on the pages of Shōnen Jump il May 12th.
