Many discovered it later but the Donny from Baby Reindeer it is Richard Gadd himself, author and performer of the series, as well as the victim of the stalking told during the seven episodes on Netflix. So let’s find out who he is in real life.
As seen in Baby ReindeerRichard Gadd is a Scottish comedian, screenwriter and actor born in 1989, who created the series precisely to process what had happened to him during the period in which a woman stalked him.
Before that period, however, he had had several experiences as a comedian in London, also receiving awards and nominations for his shows. Among other things Baby Reindeer had become a stage show in 2019winning two prizes at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and then being shown in London, where it achieved great success, so much so that it became a TV series produced by Netflix.
Richard Gadd had already collaborated with Netflix as a screenwriter, writing an episode of Sex Education with series creator Laurie Nunn, while also taking on several other projects for BBC Radio 4 and BBC Radio Scotland.
