Nino Formicola’s accusations
Nino Formicola, winner of the 2018 edition, dismantled the entire functioning of the reality show: “If the editing is controlled? Yes, if by chance you are not careful about this, then you risk that in the editing they can put things together depending on the direction they intend to take. The trick is to try not to be led. In confessionals they ask you questions in which your answers then automatically lead to situations. So, if you are an insider, you understand it.”

Woe to Samuel who lets the fire go out
Despite his efforts, Samuel, who was on duty to keep the fire burning, falls asleep during the night and receives a barrage of criticism from his companions. The disappointment and frustration can be clearly seen on the faces of the other contestants, who criticize him, “How is it possible that Samuel betrayed his promise to stay awake to protect the fire?” Francesco asks himself very angry. Joe and Matilde do not spare harsh words towards the castaway, criticizing his light-heartedness. To make amends, the next morning the dancer transforms the beach into a dance floor, teaching all the other castaways how to dance.

The gossip about Sonia Bruganelli and Joe Bastianich
Matilde Brandi lights the fuse in the last episode of the Island, about the possibility of a liaison between the two, asking Bruganelli to consider choosing Bastianich as her next boyfriend. The commentator froze everyone in the studio with an aggressive response: “Impossible, because he’s not rich enough.”

The countess praised by Luxuria and the commentators
Countess Alvina Verecondi Scortecci obtains acclaim, especially in the studio. Several times commentators and presenter have praised the spirit with which the woman is tackling this journey. “You arrived like one of us, where the only qualification is to be a castaway”, Luxuria tells her: “Don’t you miss aperitifs and brocades?”. She replies seraphicly: “Not for now. I’m living it very well: I’m starting to settle in. A very strange thing. I feel divine.”

Nightmare night
The fire almost put out by Samuel wasn’t enough, evidently things had to take a bad turn tonight, because suddenly the castaways had to deal with a very strong equatorial storm. Everyone did their utmost to do something, protecting their few possessions and trying to safeguard the fire: it turned out to be a decisive but very tough test for them, and the tension was palpable.
