“The Voice Generations” debuts on Rai 1, the new spin-off of The Voice where families, friends and colleagues from different generations will compete, united by a bond of blood, friendship, love and, above all, by a great passion: music. Two special episodes, Friday 12th and Friday 19th April in prime time, hosted by Antonella Clerici and coaches Loredana Bertè, Gigi D’Alessio, Clementino and Arisa.
The first episode broadcast on Friday 12 April will be dedicated to the traditional “Blind Auditions”, where the coaches, with their backs to the competitors, will listen to the performances of the competing groups, allowing themselves to be guided only by their voices. If the coach likes the group then he can decide, before the end of the performance, to turn around and win it as part of the team. In the event that more than one coach turns away during the performance, the group of competitors will decide which judge to continue the journey with. Also in “The Voice Generations” the coaches will have the possibility – one each for the entire “Blind” – to block another judge with the “Super Block” button, and thus prevent him from bringing that group of competitors into his own team.
At the end of the episode, each coach must have completed his team with two groups of competitors, for a total of eight finalist groups who will compete in the final on Friday 19 April. The studio audience will then decide the winning group.
“The Voice Generations” is produced by Direzione Entertainment Prime Time in collaboration with Fremantle Italia. The direction is by Sergio Colabona.
