During the episode the Pastry Chefs give 15 minutes disadvantage to Caressa and 10 minutes to Brilliantwho come at the end of the episode eliminated give her Friends, winners of the stage. Along the way there is no shortage of discussions between the Amiche and the Caressas and between the ItaliaArgentina (who arrived first in the second red book and therefore went straight to the fifth stage) and the Ballerine (also first in the rankings in the initial red book), while we witness some misunderstanding between Antonio Orefice and Artem (the Fratm) and between Kristian Ghedina and Francesca Piccinini (the Giants), who arrived last on the red carpet but were saved by the Amiche.

The couples still competing and ready to reach the Laosthe next destination of The Dragon’s Route, are: Fabio and Eleonora Caressa (I Caressa), Damiano and Massimiliano Carrara (I Pasticcieri), Artem and Antonio Orefice (I Fratm), Kristian Ghedina and Francesca Piccinini (I Giganti), Maddalena Corvaglia and Barbara Petrillo (Le Amiche), Estefania Bernal and Antonella Fiordelisi (Le ItaliaArgentina) and Megan Ria and Maddalena Svevi (Le Ballerine).

Beijing Express, March 28 episode: the tops

We give the first top to Fabio Caressa because he proves to be an attentive, caring father and very scared of what bad could happen to his daughter Eleonora. A true, sincere relationship full of good feelings, made even more alive by Fabio’s anger, which emerged when the Friends asked for a lift from a driver who attempted to overtake everyone on a dangerous mountain road (with several curves and under the heavy rain). “It’s not a Formula 1 race, I’m pissed off. If you want to race, fine, but if you pass me with my daughter on board…“, he claims.

Applause also for Antonio Orefice as he demonstrates to everyone the great value that friendship has for him and the importance of mutual support in such relationships, all after a small misunderstanding with his teammate Artem. It is clear that they are united by a strong bond, truly similar to that which exists between two brothers, also because after an argument it is difficult to act as if nothing had happened, and instead it only takes them a few seconds to resolve the situation and resume their journey with the smile printed on his face.

Also promoted the Brilliants, not only because they do everything they can to reach the next goal, without ever giving up and fighting until the end, but also because when they are eliminated the human side of the couple emerges: Pierluigi Iorio is moved when he thinks back to the journey made up to that moment , while Nancy Brilli describes her friend with words of great affection and esteem, saying that he is a real man with strong values and great emotional sensitivity. In short, a couple that deserves to be in the final and instead is forced to return to Italy.

The flops

We give the first flop to the team Dancers (Megan Ria and Maddalena Svevi) because, despite not knowing ItaliaArgentina well, they both decide not to raise their hands when Costantino della Gherardesca asks everyone if they think that Antonella Fiordelisi and Estefania Bernal are capable of reaching the next goal of the trip, Laos. It is obvious that everyone has their own opinions and there is no doubt about this, but precisely because they do not know the past of the two women in the program they could have trusted the couple instead of giving them up for dead just because last week, when the Ballerinas entered in the race, they were at risk of elimination.

One of the most incomprehensible moments is undoubtedly the one that sees the Ballerinas give the malus to Fratm when all the time, until a few seconds before, they throw digs at ItalyArgentina. We don’t understand the reason for this choice (bearing in mind what happened in the episode with Antonella and Estefania), but it’s clear that coherence is not their strong point. However, we like the reaction of Antonio Orefice, who is initially taken aback and then realizes that they are considered so strong that they deserve a penalty.

Also rejected the Caressas because they steal a pass from the Giants and they are fully aware of it. An unfair and unfair attitude that leaves a bit of a bad taste in our mouth, in particular because the two professionals have always helped others, even the Caressas, and it is a shame that this solidarity is thrown away for a small thing. Is it a coincidence that immediately after obtaining it they lose it? “It’s karma“, thinks Eleonora. Fabio’s attitude towards the Friends (Maddalena Corvaglia and Barbara Petrillo) is also disappointing: if it is true that their driver’s driving is very dangerous, it is also true that they are not in command of the car and they certainly cannot expect anything from those who offer them a ride. Threatening to ask for a measure seems a bit exaggerated to us, even considering that the fault is not directly theirs. On the other hand, we give the Friends a flop because they continue the discussion even after having spoken in front of the host, so much so that Fabio Caressa, exhausted, declares: “This one insists, eh” .

We give the last flop to Giants because it is not possible that in the fourth episode they will still argue about the same problems: Francesca gets angry with her traveling companion because she is unable to make decisions about what to do, which creates inconveniences in the couple and in terms of yield and timing (who knows because they arrive last on the red carpet…). It is no coincidence that Italy-Argentina gave them the pathology of Anger: they are always angry and this story is starting to tire us a little.
