Tragedy in the late afternoon of today, June 30, during the special Super Test of the Slovakian GP in Gelnica, fifth round of the FIM EnduroGP World Championship.
Jaroslav Diro, Slovakian rider from Zilina competing in the Open 4T class with a Yamaha 450 4T among the first to take off, after having unfortunately fallen on a series of tree trunks he was hit by the bike which ruined his neck by cha severed the jugular. Immediately rescued by medical personnel, he was transported to an ambulance where he was given cardiac massage for about forty minutes, while the air ambulance also intervened from Košice.
But help was useless; Jaroslav Diro has sadly passed away.
As a sign of mourning, the test was canceled with all the riders gathering as a group on the Super Test grounds for a moving remembrance of the rider who tragically passed away.
