A 15-year-old girl, Taylor Malcolm, has been found dead in Uddingston, Scotland. The body of the young woman, a student, was found by the police on Saturday morning in a street of the British town.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “At around 8.30am on Saturday 22 April 2023, the body of a 15-year-old woman was discovered near Union Way, Uddingston. There appear to be no suspicious circumstances and a report will be made to the Tax Prosecutor.”
Taylor’s family was already mourning the death of their sister Rhiannon
The Uddington community is in shock. Taylor’s death has affected a family already mourning the passing of their sister Rhiannon. Passionate about football, and a huge fan of Celtic in Glasgow, Taylor is remembered by friends and relatives on social media. Kristofer Weir, Taylor’s uncle, wrote that he couldn’t “believe I should write this,” adding, “I love you, I always will, please, please, please give your father strength.”
Police Scotland said in a statement they believed Taylor’s death was of natural causes. He also confirmed that he had recovered the teenager’s body near Union Way, Uddingston over the weekend. However, the judicial authorities continue to investigate this tragedy.
