More free buses in Rome. Sunday 18 December the third appointment of this Christmas period is scheduled with the open dau of the public service. From park and rides to downtown
To encourage the use of public transport, the Capitol has also set up other initiatives. With the transport plan envisaged for the Christmas period, three lines are activated which lead from the park and ride parks towards the centre. The three lines are operational in the time slot that goes from 9 to 21, with a frequency of passage that stands at 10 minutes. As regards the route, the “Free 1” line starts from the Termini car park and continues up to via del Tritone. The “Free 2” line, on the other hand, leaves from the parking lot in piazzale dei Partigiani and ends in via del Corso. The third available line is the 100: it is electric and leaves from the Villa Borghese car park.
Discounts for those who leave the car in the parking lot
There are also discounted rates for those who leave their car in one of the three park and ride parks. Specifically, those who park at Termini to take the Free 1 have the first hour of parking free. The same initiative envisaged for the parking lot in vialla Borghese, from which the electric bus 100 leaves. Instead for the Free line 2, which leaves from piazzale dei Partigiani, a rate of 80 cents an hour and 5 euros a day has been established.
