This afternoon, a wave of bad weather hit the Friuli Venezia Giuliabringing the fire fighters to carry out approximately 70 emergency interventions. The Civil protection has declared a yellow alert following these adverse conditions. The most affected areas are the Pordenone and the low friulianwith no reports of injuries.

The fire brigade command of Pordenone received about thirty calls for help, mainly due to fallen trees caused by strong winds. One of these trees collapsed on the Sacile-Gemona railway line, causing traffic to be interrupted on the route and the activation of replacement bus services. In addition, a majestic tree fell onto a cycle/pedestrian path in Sacilecausing considerable damage.

Emergency at Udine

The command of Udine has handled approximately forty requests for intervention due to flooding, fallen trees and roofs blown off by strong gusts of wind.
