Members will be able to sign up for both electricity and gas supplies, or just one of the two, and will be able to choose between a fixed price for 12 months and a variable price, indexed to the wholesale market. The electricity offer is also single-rate, thus allowing greater peace of mind in consumption during all days of the week and in all time slots. “Analyzing in detail the convenience of the winning offers, for the electricity supplythe offers that have been awarded in this edition of ‘Lower the Bill’ offer very competitive economic conditions compared to the rest of the market”, Altroconsumo highlights. “Considering the average consumption of a family of three-four people, equal to 2,700 kWh per year, the two winning bids in the ‘electricity’ categories are positioned among the top five on the market, not far from the cheapest”. As regards the gas marketconsidering an average annual consumption of 1,400 cubic meters with independent heating, “we note theexcellent performance” of the winning bid in the “Gas-variable price” category, which is “currently the most convenient on the market. In detail, the fixed price offer for electricity records a saving of 75 euros per year, calculated compared to the market average and considering the average consumption of a family of ¾ people described previously. The saving of the winning bid in the Electricity – variable price category was evaluated using the same criterion: the amount, in this case, is equal to 95 euros per year“.
As regards gas supplies, the fixed price offer records a saving of approximately 25 euros per year compared to the market average and considering the average consumption of a home with independent heating, equal to 1,400 cubic meters per year. Finally, it is approximately 200 euros per year the average savings recorded by the variable price offer. Everyone will be able to choose according to their preferences: with the variable price offer the savings at this time are greater, but the variability of the price of the energy component must be considered, which varies from month to month. The energy component of the fixed price offers is stable, on the other hand, which at this time provides lower savings forecasts.
