The accident
A pensioner from Erchie, Francesco Argese, lost his life this morning in a road accident that occurred on the Manduria San Pancrazio Salentino highway.
For reasons currently being investigated, the van he was driving collided with an Iveco van whose driver was injured and transported with a red code to the Perrino hospital in Brindisi. The affected stretch of road, in the Argentoni district, in the Erchie area, was closed in both directions.
