Ferrari fifth and seventh, now all eyes on qualifying SPIELBERG (AUSTRIA) (ITALPRESS) – World champion Max Verstappen won the Sprint Race of the Austrian Grand Prix. On Red Bull’s home circuit, the Dutchman battled at the start with the McLarens of Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris, then pulled away and finished without problems. Fourth place for George Russell’s Mercedes, fifth Carlos Sainz with his Ferrari.

Sixth was Lewis Hamilton with Mercedes, then the other Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc ahead of Sergio Perez (Red Bull). Closing out the top ten are Kevin Magnussen (Haas), ninth, and Lance Stroll (Aston Martin), tenth. “It was an emotional victory, there was a battle at the start then I did my race. The McLarens have two cars that are going fast, they attack and it showed. Tomorrow too, with a longer race, with tires that are wearing out moreover, we will have to see how the race will be in practice. Tomorrow it will be another tough battle and I will try to manage the race”, commented Verstappen. Qualifying for the long race is scheduled for 4pm on the Austrian circuit. – Photo Ipa Agency – (ITALPRESS). mga/srp/red 29-Jun-24 13:06 .
