Euro2024 comes to life: the group stage is over, starting on Saturday June 29th the round of 16 begins. And the first will see Spalletti’s national team facing Switzerland. The Azzurri arrived in second place in group B and the initial draw led them to compete with another second place: the Swiss who finished behind the hosts Germany in group A. As regards the scoreboard area, ‘Italy is on the side of England (so, to be clear, no rematch of the last European final because the two teams would meet in the quarter-finals) while the hosts are on the side of Spain, France, Belgium and Portugal (so no final Germany-Spain or France-Germany to give two examples).
The appointment for the Azzurri is June 29th at 6pm while on the same day at 9pm the Germans will face the second team in Group C, namely Denmark.
June 30th are scheduled for 6pm Gelsenkirchen the match between England and Slovakia, third best in group E, and at 9pm in Cologne the match between Spain (which as we well know won Group B) against the third “recovery” of group F, i.e. the surprising Georgia of the ‘Neapolitan’ Kvaratskhelia.
July 1st in Dusseldorf at 6pm France, who finished second in Group D, will take to the field against disappointing Belgium, second in Group E: a difficult match to predict in the round of 16. On the same day but at 9pm in Frankfurt it will be Portugal’s turn, first in group F, against Slovenia, third in Group C.
July 2nd in Munich at 6pm Romania, winners of Group E, play against Holland, third in Group D which saw Austria prevail ahead of France. On the same day but at 9pm in Leipzig, Austria, first in Group D, take to the field against Turkey, second in Group F.
