The opposition in the regional council, Democratic Party, 5 Star Movement, Sansa List, Shared Line and Actionhave filed a request to convene a extraordinary advice on the situation of the Ligurian healthcare system.
“A necessary session, to discuss the state of implementation of the policies envisaged by the socio-health plan, to know the indicators of health, socio-health and territorial services, starting from the state of the waiting lists and the implementation of healthcare construction projects, passing from the evolution of the economic accounts of all companies, the ineffectiveness of the regional governance system, up to the impacts on Liguria of the initiatives promoted by the national government on health matters, including cuts in investments and delays in the implementation of the National Plan of Recovery and Resilience” explained the opposition groups in a joint note.
“Toti’s legacy on healthcare is dramatic: no new hospital built since the right has been in government; a healthcare deficit that is exploding; an increase in the escape of patients who go for treatment outside the region; waiting lists that continue to be unsustainable, with tens of thousands of Ligurians giving up on treatment, with an extreme shortage of medical and nursing staff and an extremely fragile local health system ALISA, to mission structures and to a system of consultancy, external advisors, control rooms, expensive and useless models without any positive impact on the organization and effectiveness of the system” concluded the opposition forces Democratic Party, 5 Star Movement, Sansa List, Shared Line and Action.
“Welcome to the extraordinary regional council on health, so the opposition will feel once again exposed after all the lies it tells the Ligurians, casting the regional health service in a bad light.
