UDC, Verga: De Luca does not receive the mayors, the first victim yesterday in Sant’Agata

The press note from Antonio Verga UDC Provincial Commissioner of Benevento:

”The initiative – “De Luca, listen to us” Everyone in Naples – held this morning in Naples in Santa Lucia under the headquarters of the Regional Council of Campania promoted by the Hon. Francesco Maria Rubano – to demonstrate peacefully for the closure of the emergency room of Sant’Agata de’ Goti at night. The large delegation made up of 16 Mayors, numerous city councilors, national and European parliamentarians, institutional representatives and many citizens united in the protest in Santa Lucia, led by the Hon. Francesco Maria Rubano, unfortunately, after a long wait under a scorching sun, with a deployment of the police force to prevent entry to the delegation of the popular movement, was unfortunately not received by President De Luca.

“The situation is extremely serious and it is demonstrated – declared the Commissioner of the UDC of the Province of Benevento Antonio Verga – by the fact that yesterday evening there was the first victim due to this sudden and improvident decision to close the PS of the Saticulan city in night hours. In fact, last night after 8pm, a citizen of Santagata felt ill and unfortunately the trip to Benevento was of no avail because the man arrived already dead. “

We will report this unfortunate situation to the Prefect of Benevento as a political force so that a way can be found to resolve the issue of closing the PS in Sant’Agata de’ Goti which serves a catchment area of over twenty thousand inhabitants who cannot be denied the right to health and ‘assistance.’
