Greater protection for electricity bills is coming to an end. From the July 1stin fact, the service will begin protections gradual which aims to simplify the complete liberalization of the electricity market. The new regime includes all non-vulnerable customers who, as of 30 June, will be subject to greater protection and have not yet chosen an operator on the free market. For the vulnerable, nothing changes.
But who are I vulnerable? They are the over 75s, recipients of a social bonus for physical or economic hardship, beneficiaries of law 104 on disabilities and also users of smaller non-interconnected islands or emergency housing buildings.

The gradual protection service will have a price made up of an expense for energy, centered on the final values of the Pun and in which the fees to cover other costs relating to procurement and marketing are included. The price that will be paid by users will also depend on individual merchants. The definitive costs will therefore only be known when the mechanism comes into force.
The only certain data, as specified by the president of Arera, Stefano Besseghini, is that the annual savings will amount to around 100 euros.
