TORCHIAROLO – On Monday 24 June, at 10 am, in the council room of the Municipality of Torchiarolo, a public meeting will be held on the topic of regional contributions recognized to the Municipality for the replacement of biomass heating systems, in the presence of representatives of the Puglia Region, of Arpa, the Italian Agroforestry Energy Association and sector operators.
The Municipality of Torchiarolo has for some time been subjected to an air quality improvement plan by the Puglia Region – pursuant to Directive 2008/50/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 05/21/2008 relating to quality of the air and the environment and for cleaner air in Europe – due to the high levels of PM10 recorded by the control unit located in via Don Minzoni.
The Puglia Region has established that in municipalities in which critical issues arise which can be correlated, in whole or in part, with the use of heat generators powered by biomass in relation to compliance with the limit values set out in the Legislative Decree. 155/2010 and subsequent amendments. ii. measures aimed at preserving air quality must be applied.
After a series of thematic meetings with the Puglia Region and ARPA, the Municipality of Torchiarolo managed to obtain recognition of Regional funds for the replacement of obsolete heat generators. With Management Resolution no. 49 of 2 May 2024, published in Burp n. 38 of 9 May 2024, the public notice for the improvement of air quality in the municipalities of Francavilla Fontana and Torchiarolo was approved, aimed at providing contributions for the replacement of heat generators powered by woody biomass and open fireplaces.
Applicants must have signed the contract form with the GSE starting from 1 January 2023. Applications can be sent starting from the date of publication of the notice on the Burp (9 May 2024) and until 9 December 2024. Requests for regional supplementary contributions relating to replacement interventions presented and carried out after the date of publication are also eligible. of the Regional Notice in question.
The Regional Contribution is equal to 100 percent of the expenditure deemed eligible by the GSE and integrates the contribution of the Thermal Account 2.0. Participation in the event is open to residents of the municipality of Torchiarolo, sector technicians, generator suppliers and installers.
