The reports and complaints, the difficulties and that creeping, almost subdued, perhaps not always explicit discomfort. Everything increases, in this sense and in the strict one, prices. Messages from citizens in difficulty are increasing. The prices of basic necessities continue to rise. From food, to clothing and, in general, to basic necessities. Many citizens perhaps feel ashamed to make their voices heard in person, others complain on social media but, as often happens on these occasions, with little purpose.
There is the feeling that many operators secretly align themselves with the common line, that of indiscriminate increases, sometimes, in percentage, far above the so-called “ceilings” that should not be exceeded. And instead, with a few cents more every week, a few euros more every month, also according to the reports of many readers, citizens, mothers and fathers of families, prices are rising more and more and the trend seems destined to remain so. Who controls? Do trade associations and institutions, starting with Confesercenti or Confcommercio, dialogue with business owners and take action to implement controls on traders? I see Directors and Managers intervene on all human knowledge, but not on serious issues like this.
Is there a trade councilor who can at least implement a control or confrontation strategy with traders? The impression, from this part of our observatory and from the point of view of many defenseless citizens, is that every trader does as he pleases. Today the appeal that comes from Trani.News24.City is to control, regulate, balance, find compromise points between costs incurred by traders and the final price “imposed” on the public.
