MANTOVA – The Three Ages Club on the pitch, like every summer for the elderly “Every morning we have around 80 elderly people who receive our phone call – explains Luciano Tonelli, president of the Three Ages Club – if we notice something wrong we immediately send the doctor or nurse to check it. This way the elderly are calmer.”
Around 180 elderly people throughout the province, and around a hundred in the city, are those looked after who are involved in the various activities organized by the Club.
“Aside from daily monitoring – continues Tonelli – we organize meetings in the parks, in the shade, so that they can leave the house, many of them are completely alone and living among others, socializing becomes very important”.

“We are very worried – concludes Tonelli – because it is a very big problem and every year it gets worse, the population is aging and there are many cases of dementia, it is a really difficult situation, we have 4 nurses and 3 doctors and this allows us to provide assistance, but it is not enough.”
