Fabio Manzella died at 34 years old

The world of politics is mourning the death of Fabio Manzella, who died at just 34 years old from a tumor he had been fighting for four years. Fabio was an activist of Fridays for Future and in 2022 he was a candidate in the municipal elections with the Democratic Party, in support of Ariel Dello Strologo.

The 34-year-old, resident in San Fruttuoso, was a real estate agent and had started politics “because he was dissatisfied with politics – he said in a video during the election campaign -. But I learned that we can have a better Genoa and the right politics exists”

“Death did not win, the tumor did not win – write the activists of Fridays for Future Genoa – Fabio won because he left with a smile on his face and with a lot of courage in his heart. We love you brother and we will continue to make this world a better place also in your honor”.

“We met Fabio Manzella along the path of commitment to a more just world – is the comment of the Genoa Democratic Party – where social justice and climate justice were able to walk together. From there we started walking together. We will miss you, Fabio” .

A river of memories on social media for Fabio, described as enthusiastic, always smiling despite the difficulties: “Terrible and sudden news for me, I’m so sorry, my most sincere condolences to the family” writes the president of the Lower Valbisagno Municipality Angelo Guidi” “Friend who has always been involved in social issues and in battles for the environment, you passed away too soon and too quickly” are the words of the former president of the Bassa Valbisagno Municipality Massimo Ferrante.

And again “Hello warrior – writes Susi – you have been a great life lesson for those like me who were lucky enough to know you”, “Your smile, your tenacity, your strength, three elements that have always distinguished you” he says Andrew.
